About
I build systems that figure out what millions of people want to read.
For eight years at Yahoo, I’ve worked on recommendation systems, ad tech, and content moderation. I grew up in Taiwan, studied CS at National Central University, then got my Master’s at Ohio State focusing on data visualization. Now I’m in New York leading a team of engineers and scientists.
The work is a constant tension: what’s technically interesting versus what actually helps people. That tension drives me.
At Yahoo Research, I designed models, shipped them to production, published papers, filed patents. Now I spend most of my time making news recommendations smarter. Not just feeding people what they already like—helping them discover what they didn’t know they needed.
Outside work, I’m exploring. AI/ML. Distributed systems. Data science. Guitar. Battlefield. World of Warcraft dungeons. I’m figuring out what matters.
